Detox

Our Founding Physicians have more than 40 years collective experience in healthcare

Advanced Care Physicians Group, P.A. is physician owned and operated facility that offers Outpatient Medical Detox Services.  We know finding the right detox center can be a daunting task for yourself, family member or a friend.  Our Outpatient Medical Detox is very specific ~~~ Alcohol and Opiates (natural and synthetic collectively known as opioids).  What makes one center different then another?  We think it starts with staff that treat patients like family.  However this should not be confused with enabling.  It means treating patients with care and respect and the know how to keep them sober after detox is complete.

This is accomplished via a caring staff that includes Physicians, Behavioral Specialist to bridge treatment after detox to mitigate withdrawal and offer continued treatment to augment success.   We utilize a multidisciplinary and multispecialty practice approach that provides State-of-the-Art-Care.  Our goal is to set the standard for quality of care for men and women suffering from addictive diseases.  Our program is designed to provide patients with not only traditional modalities such as individual, group, and family therapy, but also an opportunity for patients to express thoughts through holistic modalities to obtain lifelong behavioral modification, and should not be viewed as a short-term goal or a quick fix.

Outpatient Alcohol treatments

Alcohol detox (withdrawal) reactions can include tremors (the shakes), headaches, vomiting, perspiration, restlessness, lose of appetite and insomnia. More serious effects of alcohol detox can be Delirium Tremens (DT's), and seizures (convulsions), and possible death. Patients that want rapid detox should do a hospital detox and achieve medical stabilization prior to outpatient treatment/s. Most patients choose a more gradual approach working on the root cause of these behaviors while decreasing alcohol intake. There are medical concerns that should be addressed for all patients to make an educated decision what is best for them. Medical literature states about 70-80% of the patients can qualify for outpatient detox and this is established after carful medical evaluation. However we believe all rapid alcohol detox should take place inpatient. A physician can only make this determination after comprehensive medical evaluation to include but not limited to laboratory testing. Physical addiction to alcohol occurs in consistent drinkers.
